Manila, Philippines - TFT: The Flash Truth, a short-documentary series of Flash Express has recently aired its 19th episode entitled ‘Rain or Shine’ last July 31, 2023.

This episode featuring the story of Joseph Duban, tackles the day-to-day life and challenges of all the selfless and hardworking delivery riders. It is no secret that being a delivery rider is not an easy job. Having to deal with fickle weather conditions, traffic jams, vehicle breakdowns, slippery roads, and unforeseen circumstances are just a few of the obstacles they face while doing their daily tasks. Joseph Duban is one of the substantiations that delivery riders are unsung heroes. Despite the challenges that he encountered as a delivery rider, he is still full of positivity and always willing to go the extra mile to deliver the ‘Flash’ service.

The episode also showed that work should not be a hindrance for you to have quality time with your family. There are still jobs and companies that promote work-life balance, like Flash Express.

“Sometimes, we experience being swept away by the flood, we get stuck in a maintenance hole, our motorcycle will suddenly stop working, we tend to slip on the road, we get soaked in the rain, that is the common thing we experience as a rider. Regardless if it rains or shines as long as you are happy with what you are doing, you will do your job. Sometimes our customers are surprised that we are still able to manage and deliver their parcel even if there’s a typhoon but for me, it is my job and I love what I am doing. So regardless of the weather, I will still do my job to deliver their parcels, and I am also doing it for my family.” said by Joseph Duban.

“Being a delivery rider is not an easy job. All the disasters and challenges that might occur on the road are already a part of our job. As they say, if you are a delivery rider, half of your foot is already in the pit. But we are happy with our work regardless if it rains or shines.” Joseph added.
